Handcrafted using authentic Lao Hongni (老红泥) by a skilled artisan from Yixing (宜兴)—the birthplace of true Zisha clay—the teapot is celebrated for its symmetrical form, stability, and excellent brewing properties.
Its low, flat profile allows for precise heat control, enhancing the aroma and depth of tea. Lao Hongni is known for being slightly porous and having a neutral character, making this teapot an excellent companion for green, white, and lightly oxidized oolong teas.
Over time, Lao Hongni clay absorbs tea oils, developing a rich patina that subtly enhances the flavor and aroma of every brew.
